Miraculous Pain Relief

When I first heard of the miraculous pain relief  that my friend experienced, I admit being skeptical. He had been in a wheelchair for a few days because he could no longer walk with excruciating spinal pain. Within a very short period of time of seeing a recommended therapist he was walking pain free.

After much research into Egoscue University, I found this method was based on techniques that considered looking at the whole body as the way to finding the cause of the pain. The cause, or dysfunction was easily seen by carefully observing the alignment of the body. 

Compensation happened because of the dysfunction. And that Compensation is the source of that pain. Take the compensation out the pain leaves or it allows the joint, hip, shoulder to heal.

If you look at the sails of a sailing ship it is obvious where the problems are if a sail is not functional. On the ship's sails we look at the ropes, on the body we look at the muscles.

If a sail is ripped, we want to know the cause of the rip or it'll probably rip again. Chronic pain is like constantly sewing sails without looking for the cause. After the rip is sewn it is fixed at least for a little while. However, soon the sail will need to be replaced.

We have been narrowly focusing on the symptoms and ignoring the cause, which is to tight, to loose, too weak, or too strong muscles.

We start at your feet and work our way up to your head noting everything that is out of alignment.  We take pictures so we can educate you on what we see. and so later we can use these pictures as a way to see your improvement.

From these observations and functional tests we begin to put together pieces of the puzzle together to explain the cause behind your pain

Functional Exercises

We than give simple exercises that you do daily that reposition, strengthen, stretch, balancing the muscles of your body. The exercises are meant to wake up muscles so they once again can become functional.  We do these exercises in a way that you can not compensate, so we end up working the muscles designed to do the job.  As the muscles become functional they move the bones into the correct place, your alignment visibly improves.  Your balance improves you become bilateral.

Sounds simple! It is simple, but you need to become responsible for your own healing. Through feedback, we guide you into making the decisions that will heal you.  You become responsible, not some expert.  You are the healer.  You got yourself into this mess, and you can get yourself out.

The Price of a Pain Free Life

Of course for some this therapy will not work because you may still want someone to fix you, to make you well.  Drugs and surgery may be in your future plan. These daily  exercise may just be too much work.
