Foot Pain

Our fully erect posture, a feature we share with no other creature rests on two feet. The feet are not fragile. Their ingenious design is based on two simple arches, one longitudinal and the other transverse. Arches have tremendous strength and flexibility.

he arches of the foot support the entire weight of the body as it moves across varied terrain, balancing the load as it shifts. The foot must strike the the ground in a way that allows the arches to flex and function properly.

To do this smoothly they must strike the surface in a way that flexes and extends the foot not only heel to toe but also side to side. If a foot loses its arches it loses its ability as shock absorbers.

The immediate problem in all foot problems is improper foot strike or dysfunction in the way the foot contacts the ground.  Encasing the foot in stiff arch supporting shoes may seem to work but it robs the foot of its ability to flex and extend fully. They have grown dependent on sole support. Held fast by stiff shoes the muscles of the foot atrophy.

  

The cure for dysfunction is motion. Our Exercises fills the stimulus gap created by the sedentary modern environment with a unique program of exercises targeted at muscles and functions that are receiving inadequate or improper motion. Exercises without compensation amount to muscle and joint tutorials. Our exercises re-teach the muscles what to do and how to do it.

Compensation is the Source of Pain

Feet rotated and pointed outward are evidence that the kinetic chain linking the ankles, knees, hips and shoulders have been broken. The knees can also become pointed inward and outward or bowlegged or knock kneed.  The feet can supinate or pronate. The pelvis can be anterior, tilt forward, or posterior, tilt  backward.

There is a huge penalty for not being aligned. We receive signals that we're off balance, even before actual physical pain starts. But eventually the pain is coming.

Motion

All of the body's systems-digestive, circulatory immune, and so on are interrelated. The common thread that binds them together is movement. The faster the molecules of the body move, the higher the metabolic rate. The higher the metabolic rate, the healthier the human being. We are designed to run, jump, climb, fall, roll and skip, not just for initial development but for continued health throughout our lives. If these activities hurt or cause pain, it is because we are violating some or all of the laws of health

In order for the law of motion to be effective and true the body must achieve balance, defined as muscle memory, sufficient to constantly return the body to the first law of vertical load. for balance to occur, muscles must work in pairs and equally on the right and left sides of the body. Being left or right handed hinders this balance only when we violate the laws of motion

The body always remembers its design memory, so when you start changing the stimulus with exercises the body has no choice, it changes. The goal is to allow the body to return to its birthright, its design template, and it can because it never forgets the memory. All we're doing is providing the necessary stimulus by doing the simple exercises.
